Is this a decent price for a MF 1010? http://batonrouge.craigslist.org/grd/1408968347.html

Daniel, don't you own a 1010?

If it is an '84 then I think it is an all gear drive

Definitely worth it if she runs good. But one thing to think about if she's a straight stick instead of hydro....the PTO stops when you press clutch pedal...not a 2-stage clutch. The spinning PTO like from the mower doesn't push the tractor, but if having to go to reverse, the mower has to re-start as you back up, which can be aggravating. If mowing large open areas, this won't be a problem. The hydro version keeps the PTO going full time while changing directions.
I LOVE my 1010, but I have the belly deck and the deck is powered off a front electric clutch pto, so I have no problems changing directions.

Oh yes, that is a very fair price.
